Impressive art deco influenced house, with contemporary interior design with magnificent elevated sea views from all front rooms and garden. 2 minutes walk down to the sandy coves through a nature reserve. Excellent location for a family holiday.

Fantastic location and views. Great family home with all required facilities. Perfect.

We stayed at this fantastic house in October 2024. The location is incredible with wonderful sea views and the beach close by. As we have a couple of dogs this was brilliant and we would recommend it for any owners of four legged friends.
The house itself is in good condition and was clean on arrival. There were a couple of minor issues with the upkeep of the house itself but nothing to impact the overall enjoyment. There is plenty of space for up to 6 people and separate bathrooms and toilets is a major bonus.
Overall we would recommend this property to any family looking to explore North Wales and Snowdonia.

Our third visit to Sea View. Previously found the property to be well presented and very clean. However on this visit found overall cleaning standards have fallen considerably.
Lounge carpet covered in dog hair. If it had been hoovered not done very well. One of double bedrooms carpet covered in bits and debris had to hoover it ourselves. Used deodorant under one of beds. Bed linen not ironed and bottom sheets on inside out, some old stains also visible.
Downstairs shower room a disgrace. Needs a thorough deep clean. Tiles dirty and mouldy. Lots of sand on floor. Dust and cobwebs found. Used soap bar on basin which did not appear to have been cleaned. Looked more like what you would find in a campsite shower block.
Upstairs toilet floor dirty and dusty. Pedestal mat dirty.
On landing cobweb extending from top of clock to fire extinguisher across to bottom corner of window.
Area under and around microwave/bread bin/toaster not cleaned. Lots of bits/debris under toaster. Bottom of bowl in sink dirty.
It is a lovely positioned property with great views and we enjoyed our stay but the cleanliness standards are letting property down.

We love this house! This was our fourth stay and the location and views are perfect. It also provides plenty of space for six of us to stay comfortably. However, we were disappointed with the cleanliness of the house this year. When we arrived, surfaces were dusty, the dishwasher was full and the windows hadn't been cleaned - a real disappointment, given how important the views are in this house. We had to spend a couple of hours cleaning to get it to the standard we would expect of a holiday home. Apart from that another wonderful stay, with great and very personable service from everyone at STS.

The location was spectacular.
We enjoyed sitting on the picnic table with our coffee every morning.
The fasicilites in the home were great to have. Good having the utility to dry off dogs and keep our wet sand clothes .
Unfortunately the cleanliness of the house was a little below our other experiences when on vacation.
Overall it was ok. Thank you

Sea View House is in a fantastic location. As it suggests, genuine sea views, and a 5 minute walk to a good beach. The house is accessed by steep stairs which are not for the faint hearted when carrying luggage etc.
Kitchen and Bathrooms are relatively modern and well equipped, living rooms and bedrooms are older style but still comfortable.
Overall the house is good for a family break, although a little expensive for out of season.



We thoroughly enjoyed staying in the house where our father grew up. Magnificent views!

We had a wonderful time enjoying Borth-y-gest and the surrounding countryside.
Bae Borth was a great cafe.
We felt that the house could do with a bit of a spring clean- ie downstairs shower, oven etc.

Lovely well appointed home overlooking the estuary . Conveniently situated between Porthmadog & Black Rock Sands , both easily reached via the coastal path . Lovely beaches & walks close by . Perfect place to relax .

A relaxing week spent watching the ever changing tidal situation in the bay .
Stunning views also of the mountains around Harlech opposite .
Enjoyed strolls into Porthmadog and also used bus service which is frequent and cheap .
A good half day out spent at the Osprey Centre near Tremadog .

Having holidayed there before in 2016 your new improvement ie dishwasher, New kitchen lovely down stairs shower room was a lovely touch all in all everything was perfect. We will be returning.

Borth y Gest and surrounding areas are excellent for beach, and walking holidays and the house is well placed for both. Property is spacious, with good sized rooms. some furniture close to end of life (eg bedroom wardrobes), but generally ok.
Access will make it difficult for some, and garden is also unsuitable for some. Note also that it isn't fully enclosed.
Overall, had a great holiday and would certainly consider returning.

The house is in a great location with views across the estuary. It was very well equipped and had everything one might need re: catering/household requirements. The instruction pack was thorough & very helpful. Very comfortable beds/bedding & an excellent downstairs wet room/shower. The only caveat I would add is the large number of steps up to the house could be a problem for for the less mobile or elderly, but the website makes this very clear in advance. A great stay, thank you.

My wife , her sister and me have just enjoyed a wonderful week in this spacious house watching the estuary fill up and then empty almost completely within a space of hours . The backdrop of the mountains opposite , around Harlech , adding to the scenery . We are all around the 70 age and treated the 25 steps upto the house as a challenge . It was only a bit of a struggle on arrrival and departure with the cases etc .
The village is down the hill about 250 metres where you will find a picturesque harbour . It never gets too crowded . There is a good Sea View restaurant and take away there but it is closed on Monday and Tuesday . Very popular so advisable to book , even for breakfast .
Portmadoc is only a 15 minute walk along the coastal path and has all the shops and well worth a visit .
Overall , this house is one of the best that we have ever stopped in. In fact we have booked again for 2023 .



We find the house an excellent choice and STS are always very helpful.

We have been to this house for many years and have booked again for next year. The position is excellent and splendid for families as it is very close to the beach and within easy reach of Porthmadog for shopping and crabbing.
We were pleased to see that the kitchen has been updated and that the instructions for using the various pieces of equipment are in a prominent position (However, explicit instructions for e.g. unlocking the induction hob etc can't be found. These would, if provided, save much time and frustration!) There's a splendid fridge as well as another smaller one.
It is a good idea as well that pieces of lovely furniture have been covered with glass etc to protect them, which removes some of the worry.
It's a spacious, comfortable, well appointed property in a great position.

A fantastic location. Watching the tide, sea views, and weather changes on a daily basis is a holiday in itself.
The spacious house has a homely feel. It is well equipped to cater for those staying.

Very comfortable house with a very well equipped kitchen. I called in at STD office and suggested that a hair dryer and two more comfortable garden chairs would be a good addition. They were amazing in providing both the dryer and the chairs the same day. Would certainly recommend them and the house to anyone.
